Non-GMO Phytosterols
Fenchem Enterprises Ltd. has introduced ChoLevel non-GMO phytosterols. ChoLevel lowers serum cholesterol levels by decreasing cholesterol absorption in the small intestine, with a consequential increase in faecal excretion of cholesterol. The principal mechanism is considered to be competition between cholesterol and phytosterols for micellar solubilization in the small intestine.
